Dear Contributors,

Thank you very much for your kind response and support to our mission to take care of some of the most disadvantaged sections of our community through extending food and medical relief where starvation deaths are taking place and offering education opportunities to children who otherwise would not enter a school. Charity Alliance, a registered trust, is active in a number of initiatives within India to help the most disadvantaged sections of our community and society.

Charity Alliance which is very conscious to use every penny of your donation to help some of those who are really poor in our society, especially by supporting families in the hunger belt in Murshidabad and helping poor children's education there and in other areas like Delhi, Faizabad and Sitapur. We spend nothing on our central office or on salaries to staff (except in Murshidabad) or on advertising or publications or on maintaining the website as all these are taken care of by the Milli Gazette.

We take this opportunity to bring to your kind notice that our work is continuing among the most disadvantaged Muslims on three counts: 1. Murshidabad hunger belt in West Bengal where weekly ration is distributed to around 260 persons every week in normal days and to more during monsoon floods, in addition to taking care of their medical bills and paying for their children's school fees; 2. We are paying the school fees (directly to schools) in a number of schools in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh (in addition to Murshidabad) for very poor students who cannot pay their fees; 3. We are also providing small help for poor Muslims in Delhi to meet their medical expenses and to start very small businesses.

We hope that your support will continue for this charitable effort. Our own community has to do a lot to take care of its disadvantaged sections who have a right to receive your zakat, sadaqat and charity.
