Dayarampur, a village
in Murshidabad district, 230 km north of Kolkata, was brought on the cellular
service map a couple of weeks ago by the prime minister. A proud moment for
villagers, one might think. But of what use are mobile connections in a
village where many don’t get a morsel to eat.
